Izzati The Prankster!

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone!

If you are reading this post from a big large screen, I would like to shout THANK YOU to Nurul Izzati Yunus Dora for giving me this chance. *roll eyes* She is the biggest prankster ever in the whole wide world. My dear lecturer asked if anybody got blog so Izzati being the CUTEST prankster she is, immediately points me.

I have a very bad stage fright and I hate talking in public. The reason my lecturer asks if any us has blog is simply to have that particular person talks about blogging. The setup, the content, the side income yada yada. I stay quiet because well, I am always a quiet person. lol *roll eyes so hard I can practically see my brain*. Anyway heyyy, I'm here and let's just talk. pfft.

So my dear friend Izzati MAY seem like the politest, behave-st, quietest and smartest girl amoung the seven us. But tell you what. She. Is. Evil. If you went to toilet for minutes, leaving her attending your bags or stuff or seat, please investigate her thoroughly before you sit. If you are so sleepy, DONT EVER SLEEP AROUND HER. She saves all kind of people's-sleeping-face-photos in her handphone. I believe she has backup for those files too. Poor Huda.

Again, THANK YOU IZZATI. *you did cheer spice up my life*

Biasiswa/Scholarship Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum people!

I've been meaning to write something about this scholarship long time ago. Tapi asyik lupa je. Maklumlah, banyak makan semut wuwuw. Now that I'm about to finish my degree and I noticed there are still many people who are still clueless about what is Biasiswa Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera all about.

Basically, scholarship ni untuk bumiputera and yes, it is a government scholarship. Sayangnya, tak ramai tahu pasal scholarship ni. I myself tahu daripada kawan yang share link untuk apply for this scholarship. It was back in 2013 and I was clueless as well. Tak tahu sikit pon pasal biasiswa ni. Main apply je. Alhamdulillah, ada rezeki kat sini. *lap air mata* Syarat nak apply simple, you have to achieve at least 5A in SPM. Candidates daripada latar keluarga mencabar lagilah diberi perhatian (for example: family susah, divorced parents, anak yatim piatu).

Kalau rasa tertanya tanya patut tak terima biasiswa ni, my answer is simple. Patut. Why? Banyak sebabnya but lemme shortlisted yang I think most important. Here's the reason why:

1. Once you are accepted, you will be prepared for university life and also working life. Seriously. Peneraju jaga habis baik punya.

2. Serba serbi ditanggung. You'll have monthly allowance, book allowance (annually for foundation, bi-annually for degree) and also appliances allowance. It varies on your course tho. Medical students for example will have a slightly higher amount for book allowance compared to arts students. *Jangan down  wahai arts students! I feel you* lololo. Pasal yuran uni ke, hostel ke dont worry. Tu semua Peneraju uruskan. Yang perlu kita bimbang ialah elaun bulanan kita wakakak.

3. Tak terikat. Most of scholarships akan ada persetujuan bilamana the scholars habis study haa sila la balik berkhidmat dengan badan yang menanggung study kamu. Peneraju doesnt work that way. For now. Maknanya, once you are graduated, you are a free bird! Jangan bebetul terbang *unless you're a pilot*, pergilah kamu mencari pekerjaan tanpa perlu bimbang melanggar sebarang terma dan syarat. wakakak.

4. Last one is banyak program under Peneraju ni. Once dah dapat scholarship ni, akan ada NDP (Nurturing and Development Programme) every year sampailah ekau habis belajo. Akan ada mentor yang gigih updates kita punya perkembangan jugak. As tiring and boring it may sound, there are bits of fun too. Bila pergi NDP khennn, makan minum semua ditanggung. Woohoo siapa tak mau rugi nya. Makan minum sumpah sedap. Seminggu NDP memang boleh tambah 3kg. hekhek.

Sebab Peneraju ni dia punya biasiswa banyak benda special, cara pemilihan pun mestilah special. Giccheww. During my time, lepas apply online for the scholarship, dia akan email kita suruh kita sit for an online test. Dia bagi masa jawab and then result kita tu menentukan kita layak ke tak untuk ke pusingan peringkat seterusnya, which is the interview. Dia akan bagi another email inform kita mana kita kena pergi. Wahh macam explorace!

Interview ada tiga stages okay. Ni during my time ya. Memula dia divides into two groups (depending on candidates ramai mana). First task, create satu game dengan bahan yang dia bagi. Lepas tu kita dengan group members kena explain pasal game yang kita create tu. Second, dia bagi situation. Mine was a big flood. Candidates are the important people, kena selesaikan macam mana nak selamatkan mangsa banjir. Adalah isu macam jambatan reput teruk tak boleh lalu, current too strong. Fuh berpeluh sis pikir macam mana nak selamatkan mangsa. Kalau ikut hati nak je biarkan mangsa terkapai kapai uwuwuw.

Semua benda yang kita buat masa group interview ni dia evaluate tau. Please let yourself shine in the right way. Pemalu macam mana pon, voice out your opinion. Tunjuk yang you got something to say, something to share. Dia bukan nak tengok the group result semata. Ni bukan hari sukan. Peserta rumah Biru mennag, menyumbang mata pada rumah. Oh no. Whatever you did, you said, you voiced out, all went back to you. You got the point.

Then dia filter mana yang layak untuk final stage which is individual interview. Sebab tu kena shine masa group interview. Bila interview sensorang ni tunjukkan yang you ada plan jangka masa panjang, you know what you want and how to achieve what you want. Habis individual interview tu barulah dia pick mana yang layak and dia akan email. Huhu. Begitu jauh perjalanan nak dapat scholarship during my time.

So kalau dapat biasiswa ni or offer to go for the interview jangan terus reject. Go for it. You'll learn a lot. Kalau confuse nak terima ke tak, just google about the scholarship and I think many scholars shared their experiences on their websites or blogs. Any questions, just go ask. People are kind. They will answer for you.

That's all.
Be good, do good.
Bye!

Tolong, Tuhan

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Tuhan,
Izinkan aku pinta,
Beberapa perkara.

Satu,
Senangkan aku untuk senangkan mak dan ayah aku.
Biar nanti waktu jalan hujung minggu,
Mereka minta ini itu,
Semuanya aku mampu
Tak perlu congak kira dulu
Terus aku bayar kerana aku mampu untuk buat begitu.

Dua,
Pinjamkan mak dan ayah lebih masa juga,
Kerana apa lebihnya dunia kalau mereka bukan lagi isinya?

Tolong, Tuhan.

New Look!

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum everyone!

I am so busy with my new semester. It's my final semester so I'm really hoping that I wont screw or mess this one up. Phew. I'll be going for my internship during next year February and I am VERY nervous at the thought of teaching students in the real world. T___T

Teachers out there, I am really looking forward for any tips or warnings or anything that can be used during my internship. I am that desperate. I have done 3 mock teachings but they are nothing. I mean, things wont be the same with kids, students and teenagers isn't it? Sure, I have gotten positive feedback from my lecturers during the mock teaching but still, things wont be the same.

Anyway, I will only rant about my nervousness this much. For now. Hihi.

p/s: How do my blog looks like?

That's all for now.
Thanks for reading.

Easy Japanese Sponge Cheese Cake

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum everyone!

I'm home for my semester break so let's bake! Gituuuuuu padahal selalu tk jadi baking nya T___T. I have no talent. :') Anyway, everyone likes cheesecake especially my dear mother. I never try baking Japanese Cheese Cake because they are so fluffy, soft, moist and I just don't believe myself enough to bake one. Hahah.

But, I found a simple recipe on Facebook (God bless those generous people sharing recipes everywhere) so I decided to bake one. It's very easy and most important it consists of ingredients that are usually happen to be in our fridge! Yeayy!

So here we go! This time, recipe will be accompanied with pictures heheh.  And please, excuse me for writing in bahasa rojak. hehe

Ingredients:

1. 70 gram butter
2. 70 gram gula
3. 70 gram flour (Don't forget to ayak first!)
4. 200 ml fresh milk
5. 4 eggs (Separate the putih and kuning)
6. 5 cheese slices (Only sliced cheese people, no cream cheese yeay!)
7. Vanilla essence (I substitute it with squeezing the lemon and grate the skin)

Steps:

Carikkan semua cheese tu kecik kecik. Campur dengan susu. Haa dah bersekongkol cheese dengan susu tu sila lah panaskan mereka di atas dapur. Api perlahan je ye. Sambil sambil tu kacau sampai cheese cair. Taknak ketul ketul, nanti tak lawa kek kita punya tekstur.

Bila cheese dah cair meleleh dengan susu dan keduanya serasi bersama sila masukkan butter. Kacau lah sampai larut. Api maintain slow. Agak agak nak jimat, tutup je api sebab susu tu sepatutnya dah cukup hot untuk meltkan butter. Awhhhh~

Haa ni rupanya bila susu, butter dan cheese bersama. Biarkan tiga ketul ni sekejap. Kita attend our eggs and flour pulak.

Telur kuning harus diasingkan yaaaa anak anak. Pukul dia bagi kembang. Guna whisk sudah. Takyah nak ambik mixer sangat. Jimat letrik.

Ni putih telur yang dah dipukul sampai bertanduk. Sesuai benor perkataan bertanduk tu sebab boleh diibaratkan hampir keluor tanduk lamanya nak menunggu putih telur tu jadi cenggini.

Dah bertanduk si putih telur ni biar dia sengsorang. Masukkan kuning telur dalam adunan cheese tiga serangkai yang kita pinggirkan tadi. Kacau sampai sebati.

Dah larut cheese dengan kuning telur, kita ayak tepung masuk geng diorang. Ayak sikit demi sikit. Make sure tak berketul. Kita nak body je ketul ketul, kek tak perlu ye.

Dah yakin dan percaya semua bahan tu larut barulah kita masukkan meringue ataupun putih telur bertanduk tadi tu dalam adunan tepung+cheese+kuning telur tu. Kaup balik bagi semua sebati. Tapi I believe my mix was wayyyyy over-whipped so it trapped too much air and cause tiny bubbles to appear. U_U

Dah tuang tu kalau nampak tiny bubbles mesti rasa geram je. I've read somewhere kalau ada bubble kita angkat loyang tu separas bahu pastu hentak dia sederhana kuat bagi bubbles to pop themselves. Kalau rasa kekuatan tu memang jenis takleh control, takyah buat la. Kang loyang melayang. T__T

Loyang ni rendam dalam waterbath tau. Maksudnya, dia duduk dalam loyang lain dikelilingi air fuhhh macam princess berendam hot tub gituu.

Bakar suhu 170c sround 20 minutes. Pastu turunkan kepada 140c for another 40 minutes. But it really does depend on your oven. Maka kenali oven anda wakakak.

.
.
.
.
.
.

Hasilnyaaaaa
.
.
.
.
.
.

Tadaaa!

Rasa okay lah. Tak manis sebab dah grate the lemon kan. But the bubbles ruin the cheese cake appearance. U_U Tapi takpelah janji boleh telan.

I'm mostly a loser and failure in the kitchen. My mom, being a sweet lady she is always eat everything I cook even though most of the times the food doesn't look edible. Thank you mader. I love you. Hahaha. But I think I ace this one! Yeayyy. :P

It's easy, it's delicious. I hope you guys find this recipe worth trying!

Thanks for reading!
Till then, bye!
Be good, do good.

Book Review: After You

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum peeps.

I just finished reading After You by Jojo Moyes. Mannnnnn, I've waited for this novel for months. I was oblivious (at first) to the fact that my favourite novel, Me Before You had had sequel to it. I was in Times Bookstore at Citta Mall when I first encounter the novel. It was the large paperback edition and priced around RM 70. And I was so poor at that time I couldn't afford it. (other times pon I am still poor jugak T___T).

So I wait and wait until one day I went to Ikea with my dear friend and we stopped by at the Popular Bookstore in IPC. Boy, can I have one Popular like that in my hometown? The Popular is massive and they have like everything and they have this one gorgeous Fiction rack full with beautiful books waiting to be bought and they have a section where they put all books in special edition and collection and and and I was still poor. pffft. #sadlyfe

Anyway, I found my After You and I was so happy I can't describe the feeling with words. So about the book. If you have never read Moyes', lemme tell you. She's a sensible author, a very brilliant one. Her stories are all so lovely, so relatable. She turns everyday's struggles and issues into absolutely beautiful masterpiece. I totally love love love her writing.

Remember Lou? She was miserable after Will's death. She went travel for a while and then settled working as a bartender. But she didnt really settle down. She can't stop missing Will and she can't move on. There are lot more new faces in the book and I don't really want to spoil it's totally interesting and worth reading. There are many troubles too but nothing our Lou can't handle. Aicewah.

Lemme list the important points for After You. I'm trying not to spoil anything.

1. Will Traynor has a daughter. A frigging daughter.
2. Lou Clarks meets a gorgeous guy.
3. Lou's parents are having big but emmm funny problem?
4. And yeah, Lou fell off a building. Is she dead? Is she dead? Is she deadddddd?

I really think that After You is a must read novel for readers who are very curious about Lou's life after Will's death or people who watched the Me Before You movie. If you have read the previous book, well you will feel so attached to the miserable feelings Lou's facing. If you don't want to ruin your imagination about how actually Lou and Will can turn into, don't read the book. Moyes is a very realistic author. Lou moved on. miahahaha.

Well, I don't think I write a good review but thanks for reading anyway. Don't forget to read the book! After You by Jojo Moyes. Read it. Read it. Read it.

Till then, bye.
Be good do good.

Cooking in Rice Cooker

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum peoplahhhhh.

How is everybody doingggggg? I hope you are all doing fine. If not today, maybe some time soon. Did you guys cook and how do you guys cook? I'm living in a hostel so I want to share my cooking experience. Nothing interesting. Well, if you enjoy the food pictures then maybe it can be interesting.

I am not a good cook but I sure can cook to save my stomach. Living away from family in a dormitory style where no kitchen appliances (except rice cooker and electric kettle) is allowed, I have learnt to use rice cooker in all occasions. Wah gittu. Kat rumah pakai rice cooker buat tanak nasi je uols.

But yeah, although using rice cooker is easier since you don't need to wash lot of things and it actually saves more money rather than cooking on gas stove, your food won't have the exact same result if you cook on proper stove. Anyhow, food is food. You gotta eat it. :'). There are certain food taste alright and as excellent when cooked in rice cooker and certain are not.

So, what is best to cook in rice cooker and what is not?

FOOD THAT ARE RICE COOKER FRIENDLY

1. Food that requires water as main ingredient. Al those sups, karis, tomyam (more like tomyummmm) and gulais for instance. And also bubur. Bubur nasi, bubur kacang, bubur lambuk wah curlass sangat kau duduk hostel buat bubur lambuk. And of course, to cook nasi. Takkan masa lauknya dalam rice cooker, nasinya nak masak dalam cerek ye dak?

2. Use your rice cooker to boil things. Eggs, potatoes, veggies in case you like eating boiled veggies hahah oh and your friends too. Yang mana kawan suka buat lawak kering hambar tak berperisa tu basahkan mereka dengan merebusnya hoooyeahhh.

3. Simple tumis tumis food. Food that requires little frying are actually come out good using rice cooker. You can cook black pepper chicken very easily in a rice cooker.

FOOD THAT ARE SO KEREK THEY DONT WANT TO TURN OUT GOOD or maybe i suck at cooking

1. Fried dishes. They just can't be crispy enough for my liking. Eheh. My ayam goreng won't have crispy skins because the rice cooker will turn to 'keep warm' mode when the plate is hot enough. And oh, I made doughnuts once. They all became soggy since the oil was not hot enough for them.

2. Just fried dishes.

3. Fried dishes you bastard you monkey why you wont turn out like I want?

4. Fried. Dishes.

But of course you might have different results from me. Maybe I just don't have enough talents to cook. *sobs. And just for reasons, I would like to share simple recipes I have cooked in my dear rice cooker. :*

SIMPLE RECIPES TO SAVE YOUR TUMMY!

1. Potato and egg salad.

If you want the potato taste to stand out more, use more potatoes and less eggs. or vice versa. Wash them all and boil them together until the potatoes soften. You can peel the potatoes skin first. I always boil potatoes in their skin because I can peel them off easily after they are boiled.

Put them in the same bowl, mash them with fork. Add mayonnaise, pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix them well together. If you don't like your potatoes to be mushy, just cut them into dices and mix them well with other ingredients. I like eggs so I always use 2 eggs with one medium size potato heheh. They are so easy to prepare! And cheap heheh.

2. Sup ayam.

This one is my favourite too. Who doesn't like chicken????? You only need chicken, sup bunjut, potatoes (again), salt, onion and garlic. And WATER.  All you need to do is heat up some oil, throw bawang yang dah dihiris and sup bunjut, let them garing sikit and naik bau. Then pour water. Let them boil.

Once the water is boiled, you put in potatoes and chicken. I always add some diced carrots to give my soup some colours. Kahkah. Masak dalam rice cooker pon mestilah nak acah acah chef sikit khenn. Add salt to your taste and once the potato is soft enough, your chicken soup is readyyyyy to be eaten yeahhh.

3. Ayam black pepper

You will need chicken, black pepper sauce (in case you dont want to make from scratch), kulit kayu manis, bawang putih and bawang besau, halia, maybe half cup of water, soy sauce and salt. So what you have to do is to tumis bawang, halia and kulit kayu manis until naik bau. You can add the chicken first so it cook better. Remember to cut the chicken into smaller pieces because rice cooker is not as hot as cooking on stove.

Pour in black pepper sauce. Kacau sikit bagi rata. Then add water. Kacau lagi. Add some soy sauce, Kacau lagi. Lastly, add salt. Taste and adjust to your liking. Be happy to add air asam jawa sikit so ada rasa masam masam. Nak add carrots pon also can. :D

*pictures are taken from Google. :)

I share recipes which I think are really simple and don't need too many ingredients to be prepared. Eh tapi, later when you are married don't cook like this. Your mother in law won't be impressed. What I share is literally masakan orang malas tapi have no money tapi still want to eat.

Feeling so grown up sharing recipes here. kehkeh. Hope you like this post!

Thanks for reading!
Till I write again. Be good, do good! :)

Bye!

Problem - You Got Yours. I Got Mine.

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum peeps.

Sorry for the looooong hiatus. Anyway, I am few days from my final examination for my seventh semester. One more semester and I'm off for practical. It's been few years of living away from family, meeting new people and facing new problems. I am forever grateful for my current life. Basically I don't have problems. Apart from being fat and unattractive which I don't really consider as problems, I got nothing to worry about. Oh ya, except my financial issue. #studentsarenaturallypoor

As I have less thing to worry about, I like listening to other people's problems. Oh boy, some people just had it harder than the other. That was what I think, at first. Then I realise that Allah is the Most 'Adil. No one has it harder than others and no one is burdened with tests they can't bear. Everyone has got problem and you may think that you have the biggest problem. But heyyy, if you can bear it, if you are still living, YOU CAN FACE IT! Nothing is bigger than Allah and you have Him on your side. So yeah, move on fighters!

Listening to different stories somehow make me learn more things than I could in class.

  1. Some people just don't care if you are having problems, they just enjoy listening to your stories. But still, you got people to pour your problems into.
  2. Some people insist on you not understanding their feelings about the problem. Well of course no one understands. Just spilled out the problems. Friends are there to listen and suggest things. Even if you don't like it.
  3. Some people belittle other people's problems because they feel their problems are just wayyyyyy more important and bigger. This. Is. Not. Nice. Something you feel small might be biggest thing for someone, and vice versa. So, just listen.
  4. Some people just forgot to count their blessings. All they see are what they could not have, not what they already have. They only see the obstacles never the happiness. Sadly, I was part of these some people also few months back.

And I am 100% confident, if you are to be grateful for everything, you will be happy. There are so many things to be grateful of. Even having problems are to be grateful as well. It's like a platform for you to become a better person, to develop your mental and emotional and to teach yourself to become stronger. Just believe that there will be happier, brighter days after the storms have all gone. :)

Err I think I grew up too much this year. I start talking about serious matter and become a much more positive person than I was. Fuh I can't believe myself either. And I started to feel like my blog has become sort of long, platitudinous stories. Well, that's what you become if you have such not-so-thrilling-life like mine. :(

Anyway, that's all I have to ramble for now. Till I write again.

Bye!
Be good, do good.

The Hideous Apple Pieuff

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum people.

I noticed that I talk a lot about food during Ramadhan. That explained why my plan of losing weight never go right. Anyway, I made APPLE PUFF from scratch using Apple Pie recipe. It's like a puff that taste like a pie. Does that make sense to you guys? -,-''. You can refer to the recipe HERE

You see, my mother is a big fan of food made up from flour. Cakes, doughnuts, churros, pies, she likes them all. My cousin dropped a plastic bag filled with apples and no one pay attention to the fruits for days. Few days back, my mother asked me whether I happen to know how to bake an apple pie. Being a good daughter I am *cough cough I search for the recipe immediately. #myparentsaresolucky.

I have everything an excellent apple pie needs except a pie tray, case loyang or whatever you call it. I couldn't find the bowl that can go into the oven so I decided to make a puff instead. This is my first time making pie and I already being derhaka to the recipe. No wonder it turns out so ugly. I was always nervous when I cook. Not that it turns out good, I am nervous because I always mess up things. Hahaha

Looooooong short story, here is my hideous Apple Pieuff.

I followed everything the recipe asked except the oven temperature. I lowed it a bit since the puff is thinner and smaller than a whole pie. The best part was when I googled for another recipe and I found Mat Gebu's Apple Pastry Puff. Even Mat Gebu just used store-bought pastry for that particular recipe! Why did I prepare the dough like crazy for such hideous puff?????????????? Rolling them out some more!!!!!!! *sobbing uncontrollably.

Anyhow, the taste was umphhhhh 5 stars, scrumptious, sweet, soft, crumbly, flaky, tasty ........ Who's going to praise the food I made if not me? Muahahah. But seriously, you can't go wrong with Azlita's recipes. She's very good and her recipes are always meticulously told in her blog. Go check them out! And do forget to obey everything. Don't be like me. T___T

Thanks for reading everyone!
Have a blissful Ramadhan!
Be good, do good.

Agar Agar Lapis Milo

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum people!

Happy 3rd Day of Ramadhannnn! Mueheheh. Did you miss satan?. Lol. Kidding. I should be in class right now but nahhh. It's the first week of my new semester, no one's going to class. I lie. Some excellent students are already attending the classes. It's me and my up-to-no-good friends are skipping classes. The result for previous final exam was released and I couldn't be more grateful and happier. The result was so unexpected it made me doubt myself. Alhamdulillah.

Anyway, I decided to celebrate myself with some brownies a day before puasa. So the brownies was very delicious, so fudgy, much chocolate, such taste! No, I didn't do it from scrap. I bought the boxed one and just add eggs, water and minyak jagung. That why it's delicious huuuuuuuu. Since I love celebration, I decided to make Agar Agar Lapis Milo. Lemme share the recipe with you guys. I took it from HERE and modified it here and there according to my taste (and mom's order).

Too lazy to edit the lighting of this photo.

Ingredients:

1 pack of agar agar powder
1 tin condensed milk
800 ml of plain water (used the milk tin. I put like 1200 ml tho since mom said it's going to be too keras)
1 helai daun pandan (knotted it babehh)
3/4 cup of sugar
3 tablespoon of Milo (I used like 1 cup hahahah)
A pinch of salt.

Steps:

Mix well sugar and agar agar powder. Pour in the milk and plain water. Throw the knotted pandan leaves into the pot and put it on medium heat. Stir well until it boiled. Be careful when stirring because milk makes the mixture boil like crazy. Not so much of crazy but it boiled with large bubbles.

Now that the mixture cook, divide it into two different pots. One pot you add pinch of salt, another one add in Milo. Let them sit on low heat so it didn't get harden.

Another step is to layer them. Take a loyan or whatever bekas you want to use. Pour milk mixture first. One it id cold and hard, pour Milo mixture on top of it.

You may want to scratch the surface of the previous layer with fork before adding another layer just so they stick well. Or else, they might come off as individual layer. That would be so disappointing.

It requires patience. I am not a patient person I almost mix them up altogether since I need to wait for one layer to be done before adding another. Fuhhh.

To help with the cooling process, you can put your loyang on wet towel and under a fan or near a fan or even more extreme, in a fan. You know, just so it cools down faster. I did not do that. I am not a smart being. *cries

Then, put the loyang inside a fridge. Let it gooooo NO. Let it cool completely for few hours and then you can stuff your mouth with the amazing agar agar lapis milo.

Anyway, you guys might want to see how impatient me affect the agar agar. Are you ready to see some grotesque agar agar? Okay, your choice.

The layers are all senget. They came in individual layer. Some even got those fork scratches on them. Lol. I like how they came in individual layer. Like you buy a pack of Munchys biscuit that says it comes with 8 individual pack. So hey! Here's my agar agar lapis milo. They come in individual layer. -.- Whatever.

The Best Choc Cake

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum eaters!

I really love eating so I try to balance the not so good hobby of mine with baking and cooking. I can't say that I am good in any of them but I sure can mix flour with eggs. Can't promise you with the final outcome though. Anyway, no matter what cakes I try eating, I always go back to chocolate cakes. They are sort of my comfort food. Nahhh, kidding. Comfort food is nasik with telur mata kerbau kuning cair and some kicap for sure. So, I went searching for new choc cake recipes and I found a very interesting yet super easy one from Kak Azie's BLOG

The ingredients are:

1. 2 cawan tepung gandum
2. 2 cawan gula caster (I use brown sugar because it makes cakes taste differently sweet)
3. 3/4 cawan serbuk koko Hershey's (I used random serbuk koko because Hershey's is expensive lol)
4. 2 sudu soda bicarbonate
5. 1 sudu baking powder
6. 1 cawan buttermilk (susu + 1 sudu besar cuka makan/lemon) I didn't have any lemon and couldn't find vinegar so I squeeze limau nipis into the milk hahah.
7. 1 cawan minyak jagung
8. 1 1/2 sudu kecil vanilla extract
9. 1 cawan air mendidih
10. 2 biji telur gred A (I used Grade c so I added one extra egg)

Steps:

First step is to preheat or panaskan your oven at 150 degree celsius. We are going to bake it slowly. Slowly and surely babyy mueheheh.

Then don't forget to butter/sapu your loyang with butter or margarine or you can alas the loyang with baking paper.

Put all the ingredients except the air mendidih into mixing bowl and mix them at slow speed. Make sure you mix them well. Jangan bagi ketul ketul or anything.

Then, add the air mendidih into the mixture and continue mixing for another few minutes until it turns smooth and nice.

Pour it into the loyang or baking tin. Put them into the oven and bake them for 1 hour and 10 minutes. In my case, the oven is so slow so I had to bake them for about 2 hours. #ohmyelectricbills

Test the cake with forks/garfu or lidi sate anything. If it comes out clean, the cake is readyyyy to go into your mouth. Hurrayyyy! But, do let it cool down first. We don't want any burn tongue or cheek or melted teeth.

Done! Phew. I typed one short recipe and now I feel so tired and feel like sleeping for two days straight. Bloggers who always share their recipes are so cool. Do you even rest sisturrr? Hahah. And oh, I don't have any pictures of the cake. Reason being is, the cake is already half eaten during the cooling process. Talk about hot. *roll eyes.

Another reason is, MY CAKE IS SO UGLY. LIKE REALLY UGLY. And the cause for the ugliness is that I forgot to butter my loyang so the cake won't come out from the loyang. After being hentak-ed few times on the plate, it came out in pieces. OMG. My heart shattered at the sight but my stomach knows no beauty. So yeah, I ate the cake not by slices but more like chunky pieces. *sobbing real hard.

Anyway, do try the recipe! I won't try any other recipe after this. Well, not for this few months. The cake was really delicious. Ngehngeh. Not to say I cook well, but yeah. Hope I shared something good! Happy baking and happy eating everyone!

Thanks for reading. Till next time.
Be good, do good.
SELAMAT MENYAMBUT RAMADHAN PEOPLEEEE!

Trip To Sekayu

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum peoplahhhhhhh

I am taking a break from telling you awesome people about my school. Reason being is, writing down the memories somehow make me sad. *sobbing real hard. Anyway, I went to Hutan Lipur Sekayu or Air Terjun Sekayu in Hulu Terengganu with some crazy fellas. It is a very familiar place for Terengganu people for picnic or BBQ. For me, it was my first time to Sekayu. With crazy people some more. Lol.

So on the way to Sekayu, we all chatted nonstop in the car. Well, at least I did. I always ask people to not switch on the radio when I'm in the car because I want to be the one who does the talking hahahahah. My friends are all so patient with me heheh. We stopped twice. Once at Hardware Store and the other one at grocery shop. And, I found out my friends pronounce Kampung Chepoh as Kampung Cek Poh. People, pleaseeee *roll eyes. It is CEPOH. Never went to Sekayu but I know things, people. *put shades on.

Here are some tips for people who are going to Sekayu.

1. If you are going to have a BBQ, bring your own dawai or besi or whatever you used to put the chicken on top of the fire.
2. There are many grocery shops selling ice so you can just buy on the way to Sekayu.
3. There are toilets to change your clothes, shower and mind your business IYKWIM but do not expect for excellently clean toilets.
4. There are few BBQ stands there but you need to be early to 'claim' it.
5. There is also surau and chalets. I'm not sure if we can actually sleep for the whole night at the chalet since it is not like resort or such.

I won't do more talking. For now, people. For now. Lemme serve you people with pictures.

So in love with the surrounding. It makes you feel so peaceful. In my case, not so much since I had 4 people who talk and laugh all the time hahahah.

 Pretty, innit? Subahanallah.

Our BBQ. Some of it. Got to put the keropok on fire as well. Nada brought a big tupperware of nasi goreng, Piqah brough keropok and dadih jadung, Paien brought three types of carbonated drinks which 'exploded' when opened, I brought sardine rolls and one of us, let's call her N brought the marinated chicken. It was very delicious OMG OMG.

It was such a bright day but the water is unbelievably cold. I scream so loud when my leg first touched the water. Uh-oh.

Us at the entrance. Paien is not in the picture. She likes playing photographer.

 Proper photo.

I don't know if we were acting cool or just not ready for the picture.

Paien is the one in scarf. The one holding the monopod is Nada. Behind her is Piqah. Holding the guitar is just my friend. I am not saying her name because I love to annoy her the most. Again, just call her N.

We dropped by for SOTONG CELUP TEPUNG and ABC. I want more SOTONGGGGGGG.

It was a very fun day. We ate a lot, we gossiped, we updated each other about our lives and cracked our heads laughing at the silliest thing. N and I fought over some silly stones. It's not that I want the stones but if she wants it, I'm not going to surrender easily. hahahaha.I even pulled down one of my friend's pants and revealing her bum heheheh. Not gonna say who but I am going to be good. I am going to keep the secret of her bum unless I am forced to blurt it out. HAHAHAHAH. I am such a good friend hahahah.

I don't go out much for this semester break, but I am glad that that one time I went out, I did it with lovely people who bring me so much joy, laugh and annoyance. Hahaha. Always be with people who actually make you feel happy, at ease and enjoy the time coz you never know when will you have the chance to enjoy such happiness again. :)

Till I write again.
Be good, do good.

Missing Maktab Part 2

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalamualaikum peopleeeeee.

It's the second week of my semester break and I just realised that I have way too much free times in my hands. It was not boring but I really appreciate if there's any job I can accomplish and heyyy, Allah listens to my prayers. heheh. I have written two essays for my cousin's assignment, getting a website done for my friend AND I even updated my blog. Fuh. Productive innit? *blows tudung

Anyway, I am not done with all the stories about my school life. I still have few pictures to be shared and lot of stories to be told. Since it is still morning when I am writing this lemme start with something green. Good for eyes they say. hahah. So, here we goooo.

If some strangers read my blog, they might end up saying I'm posting a random picture of trees. People, this random picture of trees is part of my school facilities. This one is Kem Casuarina. It was when I am in Form 2 that I know Casuarina is the scientific name for Pokok Ru. It's good that they name it that instead of Kem Ru.

We often have activities done at Kem Casuarina especially during Minggu Aktiviti. When I was in Form 1, I remember the Pertandingan Wau or something involving wau flying in the blue sky. It was so fun. I had car boot sales, making bubur asyura, slaughter practice and masakan rimba practices done here as well. Usually we sat with homeroom members. Some homerooms were lucky they got teacher who brought food and drinks (like my awesome Homeroom Saintifik 3). Some were not that lucky so they ended up roaming around the camp, searching for any kind homerooms for some food and drinks. HAHAHAHA it was fun teasing those people.

I remember preparing bubur asyura with my fellow homeroom siblings. We had to decorate the bubur as well. One of us, Amalin is very good at decorating the food. We were 14 at that time and she sliced those chilies, agar agar like she's been working at food decoration for years! Even the makcik lab praised her. Wife material, I kid you not. Me? I praised myself for being able to finish two bowls of tasteless bubur asyura from random homeroom. It's not easy, people.

Blok Akademik Baruuuuuuuu hoooyeahhhh. This is where the top of food chain the seniors have daily classes. The toilets are at the end of the block. During my last year of school, we have six classes. Each floor only has five class so one class for my batch is on another floor. Isolated kehkeh. I was very bad at AddMath and I had to go to the isolated class every morning for extra AddMath class. T___T. There was one time I was on my way to class after the special AddMath class with my friends and I fell into the drain in front of someone else's class. I managed to grab Piqah's arm anyway. hahaha. Literally clingy friend. #notgonnafallalone #ifiamgoingdownillbringyouwithme

Opposite our class building is one story building housing Bengkel KH and RC room. The roof of the building probably has more shoes than a woman does. It was not frequently done but if Cikgu Izaimi suddenly came to night prep, the boys with slippers will start playing hide and seek. lol. I remember watching slippers flying off to the roof. hahaha. What a sight! It's better than watching the hot air balloons flying in Cappadocia sky hahahaa.

I can't find any DS picture in my phone so a picture of Kak DS riding motorcycle nearby the DS is also can. The best days at DS were during bulan puasa. We buka puasa according how the BWP set it. Some years, it's with the class, some with homeroom. Buka Puasa Perdana was when you eat together, male and female students in homeroom. We had to come serving the food according to turns we chose. It was not until I am in the last year we had a clingy plastic wrapper to wrap the blue plastic tray. Before that we only use surat khabar lama to wrap the trays.

Our DS is not grand but we have nasi kerabu. Heh, cool amirite? The best lauk for me is on Tuesdays. Ayam Masak Merah, finger licking good, yummehhh. Some days, when Kak DS are in good mood they will give you part of chicken you asked for. Like if you asked for kepak you got kepak. If they're bad mood, they will be like OH YOU WANT KEPAK? NOW TAKE THIS KEPAK AND FLY AWAY FROM MY SIGHT! *slammed dada ayam on your plate. Uh-oh. #runforrestrun. Anyway, I remember 'kidnapping' two bottles of soy sauce for our mempelammmm! I don't know if it was wrong but we need kicap to eat with mempelam. So, had to do it anyway.

The field in the picture is our school field. Hari Sukan and rugby practices or match often done there. I wonder why we were so happy watching the seniors playing rugby but when it came to our own batch playing rugby it wasn't that exciting. Hahahah. Outside the school was gerai air jambu batu. I remember walking up to the fence with my friends and shouting to the hawker asking for air jambu batu. We bough 5 air jambu batu and walked across the field only to be stopped by Cikgu Izaimi. He scolded us for buying food outside the school and gave us choices; to give the air jambu batu to him or to read the school rules at rollcall the next day.

Mannn that was not much of tough choices at all. Hahaha. Who will surrender air jambu batu? No way. So reading the school rules at rollcall it was. Anyway, Allah must love us so much. Cikgu Izaimi didn't come the next day for rollcall so we didn't have to do it. We were saved! Hip Hip Hurray!

The foyer! We usually had the Sem Type 3 here. All those board and tables and creative inventions. I don't have any picture of Dewan Ibnu Sina. The old dewan was the one with rusty iron gates and no air-conditioning. Now they got rid of the rsuty iron gates, replaced them with tempered glass and installed air-cond some more! Assembly must be comfortable to sleep at now. Fuhh lucky young children! The dewan is used for many events; Hari Ko-op (got free foods, lucky draw and also kematu on your butts for sitting so long), assembly, graduation (my favourite event by far!), orientation and most of the activities that involving lot of people.

I think I wrote long enough for now. I would like to write a single entry for dorm since I had exceptionally good times there! Heheheh. Writing down the memories make me feel like going back to school and experience these all over again. :')

Thank for reading!
Be good, do good.
